Lotion Bars & Gardener's Hand Balm

Today I've been busy making several different types of beauty products, overall it's been an extremely productive day and i had to force myself to stop.... i started with lotion bars, then gardeners hand balms and finally salt scrubs...i just couldn't stop!!! i have briefly outlined ingredients and method for the lotion bars and hand balm below.

LOTION BARS
Lotion bars are just balms but a more solid version, i personally use them as hand balms but they can be used anywhere.

The lotion bars i made today were made from shea & cocoa butters, almond and jojoba oils, and scented with vanilla essential oil.

Oils and butters are melted in a bain marie
Then poured into mini muffin cases and cooled. They were later placed into aluminium tins
GARDENERS HAND BALM
I am in love with this gardeners hand balm i made today, all the lovely scents i put in smell so rustic and reminds me a little of being in the country.

This hand balm consist of shea & cocoa butters, coconut, macadamia nut, jojoba, hemp & almond oils. The essential oils added were lavender, lemongrass, tea tree & rosemary. These oils were chosen for their intense healing properties for skin which is chapped, cut, sore and dry.

Hand balms are made following the same method as the lotion bar, but poured into the aluminium tins straight away.
