'Honey Oat Fingers' are one of my childhood favourite recipes, i have always loved making and eating them and at times i have had terrible cravings for them. They are really quick and easy to make (within 30 minutes, if you have all your ingredients ready)
Ingredients:
3/4 cup plain flour1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda1/2 tsp baking powder1 cup rolled oats3/4 cup dessicated coconut 1/4 cup raisins125g sugar1 tbsp honey 125g butter 1 tsp ground cinnamon pinch of salt
Method:
mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl
melt butter and add to the dry ingredients
thoroughly mix the ingredients together and press firmly into a lined tray
bake in a moderate oven (gas mark 4, 180C) for 15 minutes
remove from oven and cut into slices whilst hot
allow to cool
....and enjoy with a nice cup of tea :)
